Your Question and Answer Thread

Hi all ,
i have set up this thread for your comments and questions within anything in the learn from the expert threads as i do not wish the articles get bogged down with tons of post. I would rather the one thread than tons.

Hi all
we have been inundated with thousands of midges around the pond, we had a fair few last year but this year it has gone mad.
is it true that if we put an air block into the filter it may stop them breeding?
If anyone has had this problem and got over it please let me know how!
many thanks
dudsy
I always say that sometimes!

normally the quality of the fish is a instant give away,

you can do some research into the breeders this is another way to tell like Momotaro koi have deep beni[red] and alot of there koi have half there face covered [mask] by the same beni.

once you have done your homework and someone says its that breeders fish you will be able to see tell tale signs.

with very little homework a hobbyist that is just getting into keeping koi would not be able to tell

hope this helps alittle
if you have any pics you could post them for us to have a look thumright
