Our own designed aerated bottom drain.
Hundreds sold over the last 7 years.
With a 1" air feed direct to the diffuser this is the best drain on the market.
No stagnent water, or flexi pipe.
No obstructive pipework in the sump.
A drain to last, and work well.
The diaphram can handle up to 200ltrs/min of air.
With the 1" pressure pipe feed capable of 15bar pressure. Most air pumps run at about 1 to 3 bar.
A must for every koi pond...
To fit this drain you will need 1" presure pipe and 4" presure or PVC pipe
4" pressure pipe output,
Can fit liner or fibre glass please specify
If using PVC pipe please specify

To be honest the only differance i can see is that the airline pipe is sealed so no stagnant water can collect in there, but when fitting spindrifters i always seal around the airline coming through the airline pipe anyway, so to be honest i dont think it really matters. They will both do exactly the same job. Is there a big difference in price? if so just get the cheaper one as essentially they are exactly the same!!!

Good morning Rising Sun, and the sun is out today, lovely.
They are the same-ish price.
When I spoke to EA and my pond builder, they had a great idea for using the airline encasing pressure pipe as the overflow, that way it won't get stagnent.
I wondered if weed or stuff could get caught around the air pipe inside the BD as it sort of crosses the flow of water - as it were...

Cheers, for advice, seems prudent to stick, but will keep open mind. Also see what my pond builder says. He doing the work, me getting the gear.
