Thats not at all good for jap co, one of my mates did work there but a few year back now. I have not been over for over ten years.
They all have expensive fish its all about what people will pay? Look around and buying smaller better quality fish to grow on.
This time of the year deals can be done! On top fish! Sometime you can pay less than half the marked price. But dont buy on price alone!
"Not just for christmas" lol
I have rehomed 1400 unwanted fish for my customers in the last 18 months. Only three weeks ago i was offered 60 X 12" koi for someone on the phone They were filling in the pond they only wanted my time to remove them. I did ring around some of my large pond and small lake owners. But they did not want to pay for my time!
I have not got any more room to hold them. They mostly were only pond fish (lesser quality pond class Koi).

My advice to anyone buying koi.
They are like good art. If you love it, have the room for it and can afford it buy it!
Some good Art sells for mega money. Its all about how many people love the art and would live with the it!
Top "rare" Art = Top "rare" money

Having said that some of my prize Koi are "priceless pets" and mean the world. One of them my wife calls "shadow" was free to a good home (four years ago) and has been upgraded to our main pool for the last three years. I few of my customers ask my why "shadow" is in my main pool and i simple answer "priceless pet".
