Well, no rain and I think tomorrow in Texas we set a record for the number of days over 100 degrees F. That would be 70! It is awful here, we have not had rain in two months. :(

As of today I have caught two of my three Koi and they are safely in the pool I set up for them.

Well thought I had best update you on my Texas Koi. I ended saving two of my three Koi. The third I guess became too stressed with the situation as when I went early to retrieve it, it had succumbed. Well it went three months without any rain to refill the tank. I began looking for alternatives and one day I was at a garden center about 30 miles from me and there in front of me was a beautiful Koi pond. It had quite a few Koi in it. I asked if they would adopt my two Koi. They placed a call to the owner and he said yes they would take my Koi. We transported them there the next day and now I have visiting rights. :) Shortly afterwards it rained wouldn't you know, well I placed the three goldfish in the tank.

Just today I had someone come out that is going to quote me on a Koi pond. When I get the quote of materials I would like to pass it by you guys to see what you think. He has been building ponds for about 10 years all over the area.
