Question of today...
Ok, so noticed my Pirrachini sulking yesterday. Main pond temperature is down to 10 degrees. I don't normally let it get like that till the weather is bad but with heating the baby pond something had to give, so this is really the first sign of winter for my big koi.
I have had a sweep over the weekend, getting rid of some of the muck at the bottom of the pond. Treated for Blanket weed which I still can't shift. Its 5 inch long....
The thing is he is still sulking today. So out came the test kits. All readings are good. Nothing is out.
Do they sulk because of cold weather? Or is there something else going on here?
Just wondering. If he is still like this over the next day or so, think I'll ask someone to come and do a scrape. I'd sooner know now and then I can treat before the real winter hits and I have no chance in hell of heating my pond to 15-18 degrees.
Will keep you posted though, thanks for any thoughts on this.
Dawn
