pond liner

Postby gazcop » Mon Feb 20, 2012 4:14 pm

hi, going to make my pond bigger this year , it currently holds 2000 gallons and is brick built with a pergola
and looks spot on, so as its only 3 and a half foot deep ,iam going deeper and it will then hold over 3000 gallons + , my question is i currently have a pond liner in and when i fitted some years ago i just could not get rid of every crease ,theres about 4 big creases , so ive never been happy, so can anybody give me advice , i dont want to fibre glass as its too expensive , and i dont fancy boxweld liner, i was wondering if after fitting new pond liner again, is it possible to put patchs over the creases made of liner ,then glue and seal them in place. is this possible ,if so has anybody got advice on what i may need (glue sealer tape etc)
thanks

you can use gold seal and butyl tape to help conceal these thou there is not an answer apart from box weld and the options [maybe pond paint] to solve this.
you could cut the liner down and fold over glue and tape like a box weld but there will be questions over if it would have sealer proper.

alot of places come out and weld it to your pond thou this is not cheap you maybe be able to pick up a fiberglasser for about £20-£25 a sq meter
